Nestled in the heart of the scenic Allegheny Mountains, Ellicottville, New York, transforms into a magical winter wonderland each year. With its charming village atmosphere (some say it reminds of them of a Christmas Hallmark movie!), stunning snow-covered landscapes, and a wide array of outdoor activities, Ellicottville is the perfect winter escape for anyone looking to embrace the season’s best offerings.

Ellicottville is known for its festive atmosphere, and winter is no exception. One of the highlights is the annual Ellicottville Winter Carnival, a two-day event filled with fun activities such as ice carving contests, snow sculptures, live music, and more. Additionally, the village’s charming downtown hosts a variety of seasonal events, including holiday markets, tree lighting ceremonies, and après-ski parties.

Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

For those who prefer a slower pace, Ellicottville’s winter landscape is ideal for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
