Holiday Valley Golf Course

An 18 Hole, par 70 Double Black Diamond Golf Course is public course with a fun mix of mountain and flat terrain.

Road Biking

Some nearby options include the

Ellicottville-West Valley Loop - a moderate 38 mile loop with rolling hills,

Beaver Meadows- a bit shorter, slightly hilly. 27 miles 875 feet of climbing

Dutch Hill- a challenging 45 mile ride with 3 big hills, 2000 feet of climbing. We often will do a loop from Ellicottville along 242, south on 353 to Salamanca, and then loop back north on 219 through Great Valley back to Ellicottville

Beaver Meadows Little Valley- 37 miles with rolling hills with your choice of steep and long uphill finish on Murder Hill, or the gentler Dublin Meadows Rd.

We often will do a loop from Ellicottville along 242, south on 353 to Salamanca, and then loop back north on 219 through Great Valley back to Ellicottville

Allegany State Park also has some nice paved roads

Mountain Biking

Holimont: 8 trails offering 10 miles of track, that’s a range of free riding and technical, for beginners and more advanced. Passes available Fri 12-7pm, Sat & Sun 10-4:30 that get you up the chair lift for easy access to the trails. Call ahead to confirm hours.

Loud Performance: offers mountain bike rentals on weekends. Located at the Holimont Bike Park.

Holiday Valley: chair lift operates Sat & Sun. Purchase lift tickets and rent bikes from the Ski High Bike Shop inside the Tannenbaum lodge.

Hiking Close to Town

Holimont cross country ski trail: fairly steep hill up Holimont with a great view from the top. It is called the “Holimont Winter Loop” in All Trails. The trail winds up the top of the hill and then there are several routes for extended hikes at the top, including going to Spruce Lake

Four Rocks Trail: a good one to do after Little Rock City Nature Loop if you’re looking for some extra distance. Goes to Lindell Lookout, although there’s not really a lookout.

Hiking a Short Drive Away

Griffis Sculpture Park

located only 8 miles from town, the park features over 250 large scale sculptures dispersed through miles of hiking trails. Each sculpture was placed with the natural setting in mind, creating a truly unique experience between art and nature.
